Life Bio

Aida was the first of 5, born to Aida and Manolo Fernandez , they had 4 girls and 1 boy. Aida was such a kind and giving human being and she was loved by many. Aidita was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and colleague. Always the optimist, she would rather see the glass half full, rather than half empty, and would always make you see the bright side even when things seemed very dark. Aida, always lived life to the fullest and gave of herself, her time and treasure to anyone in need. She was a woman of faith, and was an example of this by the way she lived, and by the way she accepted God's will in her life. She was devoted to her family and her work, and to the Blessed Mother and her Son Jesus.
Aida loved to decorate, she loved to draw, she loved to read, cook, watch lifetime movies, listen to the platters, and travel, but most of all she loved to get the family together and spend time with them.
Aidita will be greatly missed, and is survived by her mother Aida, her husband Hector, her two daughters Christie and Becky, her sisters Martha, Vivian and Nancy and her 4 grand children Nicholas, Christopher, Michael and Tyler.
In our grief of losing Aida, may we try to be more like her, in seeing the bright side of our darkest days. Aida has been born to a new life, no more pain, or struggles, and is now enjoying all that God has promised us.
Rest In Peace Aida, your disease left you without the ability to walk, but even then, you walked faster than most could ever run. You will be greatly missed sweet sister, but your spirit will live in our hearts forever❤️

Aida was always very friendly, enthusiastic and happy. One this is for sure, she was also very prissy and knew how to carry herself with class. May she Rest In Peace in the presence of our Lord. Sending lots of love and prayers for the whole family. Love, Mayra Arean

My sister Aida was always like a 2nd mother to us, me. As a child, she would always cut my hair and take care of my wounds whenever I would fall. As we grew up, she continued to be a source of support and would always try to make reunions to keep the family together... My sister was a great cook, hair stylist, and always maintained a positive attitude. She adored her family; her husband, her daughters, and her grandchildren. As she became ill and her independence started to dwindle, never once did I hear her complain. On the contrary, she accepted her situation with grace. My sister maintained a positive attitude until the very end, as she passed away with a big smile on her face. I can only imagine it was because she was being received by the loving presence of our Lord. I hope to be united with her again one day... I love you Aida!

Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where I am going you know the way.” Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Fun Facts

As many of you know, my daughter Jenny is away studying in St. Kitts, and was unable to be here with Aida when she passed. Yesterday as she was showing the island to two of her friends who are there visiting her this cruise ship entered the port. Aida lives on!
